Hi Jeanne, This message thing doesn't notifiy me when I get a message, darn it. I have to come and check each member to see if they wrote. Talk about primitive. I am sorry that NYC is so dead now for photo work. I wish you the best with it. Must be stressful to have things like the house hanging over your head. I certainly am hoping you get lots of work somehow.
I thought you did a great job with the head shots for the student. Let's hope it leads to lot of work there.

We are managing out here in Oregon, but not living high off the hog. I am still looking for a decent midrange f/2.8 zoom. Sure wish I could afford the Nikon 28-70 or 24-70. What do you know about the 24-85 f/2.8-4? Also, what about the Tamron 28-75? I am wondering if that is a better lens than the Sigma's.

Take care, my friend. By the way, that is a great pic of you. Wish I had a larger copy. :)

Hi Jeanne, is the situation getting any better back there for pro photographers? Are you doing ok? Sure hope so. I would hate to think about youi going through hard times. It is sure great that my messages get to your email address. I don't know why I don't get those coming from others. Grrr.

hi Vern,

I'm really scrambling to get work. New York is a mess and the number of jobs lost each day, each week is really horrific. I never was in this position and have no idea really if I will be able to keep my house. We'll see. I have been doing edits of copywork I did at a gallery in the Chelsea section of New York and will go back on Thursday to do more copywork. It's tedious and slow work, but it's a job and the work I am copying are original prints by Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind and Andre Kertesz..I even shot a Robert Frank valued at a small fortune. It is for their data base and web site.

I also did head shots for a young theatre major from New York University and just finished those edits early this morning. I'm hoping she likes them enough to recommend me to other stuents for their head shots.

Hope all is well with you and Carol. Good hearing from you.

Wow, that's great, Jeanne. Now I have to figure out how to get mine to come to me! I don't see them unless I come here.
